Alice Edde Lavender Wands
These colorful, aromatic lavender wands celebrate the height of summer, whilst scenting wardrobes and homes. Lavender is also known to encourage sleep and promote peaceful environment.
These magical wands were crafted in the village of Al Qaouzah, in Southern Lebanon, especially for Alice Edde. The wand tells a story:
Al Qaouzah means rainbow in Arabic. And just like finding joy in the rain, the women of Al Qaouzah have learnt to craft these joyful wands in their mountain village. They gather the lavender early in the morning, when the fragrance is at its peak, cutting the stems as long as possible.
Bunches f 38 stems are then folded and the weaving starts... Carefully bending the fronds and blending with colorful ribbons until they have created the elegant scented baton you see before you.
From South Lebanon, to Byblos, to you. A lovely gift to keep or share.
